The fact that the Kingdom of Bhutan was one of the first to decide to introduce the “AI Buddha” on an experimental basis shows the pride that the country takes in being a major Buddhist nation!

It’s like saying, “It is not only the ability to read the Buddhist scriptures and answer any questions that makes Buddha great, is it? Bring on the AI Buddha!” That’s what they mean, isn’t it?

That being said, I think we are in an era in which religious leaders will be asked more than ever before how they can produce “more than those AI bots” as a flesh-and-blood human being to enlighten fellow humans.

「AIブッダ」、いち早くブータン王国が実験的導入を決めたというところに、むしろ仏教大国としての自負を感じますね！

「仏典を読み込んで、どんな質問にも答えられるということだけがブッダの凄さじゃないぜ？」ということでしょう。

そうは言いつつも、「それ以上」を、いかに生身の人間として出していけるかが、今まで以上に宗教者に問われる時代にはなりそうですね。
