Cars are becoming more like “phones on the road” (and being hacked)

This is one of those news I like most: cybersecurity. It’s so natural that the more our cars are becoming like “phones in which we drive,” the more they are prone to cyber hacking. However, if we refused this trend, we couldn’t drive on the road in the near future. So we’ve gotta deal with it.

This time the hackers were able to unlock and the start the cars. The type of control terminal, Sirius XM, is widely used by a long list of automobile makers such as “Acura, BMW, Honda, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota,” so there’s pretty much no way to get away with it. So we’ll have to take care of it whether we like it or not.
